IMG_4292Most recently published is this delightful collection of stories entitled, Fort Alexander: Stories & Legends. With 15 stories, this short book was originally written and compiled in 1976 by Jeannette Courchene and Julie Courchene of Sagkeeng Education Authority. Now MFNERC has assembled them into this great resource for communities and classrooms. Legends such as “Waskaychak and the Ducks”, “How the Porcupine Got His Quills”, and “Grandpas’s Story of a Fisher” plus many original illustrations will delight readers young and old.
