“Culture-Education-Globalization”

Along with the DOTC, we were proud to host a public forum exploring the student-teacher relationship from First Nations and world perspectives.

April 14, 2016 at the Best Western Plus Winnipeg Airport Hotel, 1715 Wellington Ave. 9am – 4:30pm.

The forum looked at the questions:
How does one negotiate and thrive in a societal context that is increasingly characterized by localization and globalization? How does one reconcile values and outlook – culture, identity, tradition and language – with the demands springing from the global economic and social arena?

The forum was also designed to be a platform for promoting the exchange of ideas between First Nations and other groups in the larger Canadian society. It was about building a basis upon which collaboration and partnerships can take place.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
