On May 20, Ginew School in Roseau River Anishinaabe First Nation once again held their annual Gathering of Friends.
This is the 14th year they’ve held the gathering, and it is always a wonderful celebration of the values, culture and history of Roseau River Anishinaabe First Nation.
Those who attend, “gather as friends to value each other’s stories and knowledge of our culture and traditions.”
Activities take place at the school all day (from 9am – 3pm) including, sweat lodge teachings, residential school history, dancer performances in regalia, traditional cooking and more.
