If you were at our most recent Circle of Knowledge & Practices Conference you may have seen William giving a workshop on Cree language and the Star Chart. He is a Language & Culture Facilitator working out of our Thompson office, and is passionate about education and storytelling. He is also an accomplished children’s book author, and always has a kind word or humourous anecdote to share.

Craig Charbonneau Fontaine
As part of our Research & Development team, Craig works as a Researcher. Dedicated to uncovering little-known histories of people and places, Craig hunts down First Nations archival material in order to bring it to life again. Whether its old legends or forgotten newspaper articles, he will find them. His most recent compilation is St. Peter’s Indian Reserve: Articles & Reports (1859-1939).

Nicole Magne
As well as being an incredible artist, Nicole’s role as Multimedia Developer keeps her busy behind the camera and in the editing suite. From filming conference keynotes to documenting land-based education gatherings to creating historical documentaries, Nicole is always on-the-go capturing the sights and sounds of MFNERC and Manitoba’s First Nations. Mary Lou Pierrard
Devoted to the education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, Mary Lou is a highly experienced Deaf & Hard of Hearing Facilitator who works with many First Nations students and schools around the province. In this photo she is helping to facilitate a workshop at our Special Ed. Educational Assistant Summer Institute on Basic ASL School Signs. She also regularly hosts workshops at our annual education conferences.
