Christina earned her degree from the University of British Columbia, with a focus on the education of students who are blind or visually impaired. I Love to Read Month is an opportunity to encourage reading for all ages. An integral part of First Nations cultures has always been storytelling. Oral stories are passed down from generation to generation and are an educational and interactive way of sharing life’s lessons. Books are another way to inform us, connect us to other worlds, instruct us, and challenge us.

You are invited to the Virtual Clinical Services Regionals which is being held February 15-17, 2022! This event originated in the 2008-2009 school year and was called the Speech-Language Regionals. It provided an opportunity to provide additional training to the Speech-Language Educational Assistants that assisted the Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver speech and language services to the First Nations Schools in Manitoba. Since expanding the services, we have expanded the training provided during regionals – which is reflected in the name being changed to Clinical Services Regionals. We usually host the regional for the northern communities in November of each year and for the southern communities it is usually held in February. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Clinical Regionals have been held virtually.
