The Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre is proud to host the annual First Nations Circle of Knowledge & Practices Conference. This year’s theme was “Language, Land, and Learning.”
Workshops and speakers at the 2019 conference focused on land-based teachings and language in the classroom and school. Languages are the essence of First Nations culture, holding within them our traditions, ceremonies, and beliefs. Learning is a lifelong practice for all First Nations, whether it occurs on the land, home, or at social events.
