Clinical Services Portal

Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, MFNERC Clinical Services are not able to travel to your community at this time. However, we are pleased to announce that we can still connect with students and families using the telephone and the internet.

At this time, individual clinicians have been trying to call students/families on their caseload and trying to connect with school staff, using the telephone. We have had a hard time connecting with some families, as we don’t have a phone number listed for you or the phone number is changed or disconnected. If you would like contact from Clinical Services and have a phone number that has changed, or you would need us to call you on a different phone number, please reach out to us.

You can reach out by:

  • Calling or emailing anyone listed below
  • Calling or emailing the specific clinician directly if you can
  • Calling the MFNERC toll free number: 1-866-319-4857
  • Emailing our general email address for more information clinical.services@mfnerc.com
  • Looking at the MFNERC website for more information

When travel restrictions are lifted, we can resume our community based, school wide, small group and individual clinical interventions to First Nations students in schools.

In the meantime, MFNERC will offer therapeutic supports over the phone and also using the following secure confidential internet platforms: Cisco WebEx and Manitoba Tele-Health.

If you have access to internet and a device (e.g. computer, tablet, cell phone), you can request for your child to see the clinician and receive services using the internet. This would be similar to a FaceTime interaction, but using a more secure system called Cisco WebEx. You would provide your email address to the clinician and then he/she would email you a link to click on. This would allow you and/or your child to work with the clinician over the internet. Again, please reach out to Clinical Services if you would like more information about this process.

Also, if your child has been receiving clinical supports at school this year, you can receive a Summary report of their progress. Typically, these reports go to the Resource teacher and a copy is sent home to you. COVID-19 means that our typical processes look different and in this case, we can mail a copy of your child’s report(s) to your home. Please let us know if you would like this to happen.

Please reach out to Clinical Services if you would like resources or supports for your child.
