Congratulations to Charles Cochrane on the Appointment of Executive Director of MFNERC

Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Cochrane as the new Executive Director, effective June 16, 2020, following the retirement of Lorne C. Keeper.

Charles brings a wealth of experience in providing strategic leadership within MFNERC, and currently serves as Director of Facilities and Operations for Manitoba First Nations School System (MFNSS). Charles came to MFNERC with a 25-year background in the field of First Nations education, and he is working towards a master’s degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. His knowledge, experience, and leadership will continue to push MFNERC and MFNSS to the forefront of First Nations Education in Manitoba.

Charles will work closely with MFNERC administrative staff and its Board of Directors to implement a strong path forward, and to further enhance the Centre’s performance and capabilities for the benefit of First Nations, schools, and children.
