Cree and Dene Youth Gatherings

This week, MFNERC will be hosting gatherings for our Cree and Dene Youth from around the Northern regions of the province.

Videos, speakers, discussions and activities are all on the agenda.
These two-day events will take place Feb. 19-120th in Opaskwayak First Nation and Feb. 22-23rd in Lac Brochet, MB. Presentations will cover topics such as, “Becoming One with the Spirit of the Horse”, “Star Knowledge” and “Lateral Violence/Decolonization”. An “8th Fire” video presentation will be showcased the second day, as will many fun hands-on activities such as making leather pouches, telling Iktomi stories, and a flute and song demonstration.
