School may be coming to and end, but here at MFNERC we’re gearing up for Summer Institutes in August.
The Early Years Literacy & Numeracy Summer Institutes are happening August 21-25, 2017 at our 1100 Waverley office.
Two days of professional development in Math (Aug. 21 & 22) will focus on strategies using numeracy routines, learning centres, problem solving using the bar model, and vocabulary strategies, as well as transitioning from K-2 mathematical concepts to grades 3-4 mathematical concepts and procdures.

Three days of professional development in English and Language Arts (Aug. 23-25) will cover, among other topics, the Early Development Instrument (EDI), Promising Practices in home, community and school connections, and the new ELA Curriculum.
