Laserfiche Technician
January 2019 – March 2019 (Term Position)

 The Laserfiche Technician works under the direction of the Project Manager of Data Management who reports to the Director of Operations.

Purpose

The Laserfiche Technician is responsible for assisting all MFNERC units to utilize Laserfiche and supporting technology.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure all aspects of the internal procedures are documented;
  • Provides direction over the general training and professional development;
  • Coordinates the technical support with vendor;
  • Implement ITIL best practices for User Management, Asset Management, and Inventory;
  • Provide second level support for Laserfiche infrastructure;
  • Supports the team leadership in organizing and ensuring quality of services for the MFNERC;
  • Provide support to the MFNERC Infrastructure Group;
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification or equivalent:
  • Ability to install Operational Systems, hardware, and software;
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, assess and solve technical issues;
  • Excellent organizational skills, as well as attention to detail;
  • Understand ITIL and its application;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Professional behaviors that personify strong work ethics;
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in an interdisciplinary team of professionals;
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills to work in a First Nations environment;
  • Ability to speak a First Nations Languages would be an asset;
  • Ability to travel to First Nation communities within Manitoba.
