
School Profile: George Knott School
George Knott School, of the Wasagamack First Nation, seeks to forge a promising path and build a place with no lack of opportunities for students to prosper. With over 500 students from nursery to Grade 12, the school has made traditional learning a part of the school curricula. The language and culture program includes a guidance program component that is inclusive of traditional values and Elders’ teachings within the classroom. The school is named after a former Chief, who belonged to one of the 11 families who formed Wasagamack First Nation.
