Description
These posters illustrate the highest moral values of the First Nations peoples of Manitoba. They are to be used in First Nations schools to help students practice the values through their behavior in the classroom and in their lives.
In the past, students were not made aware of the moral values that were traditionally part of their heritage. Using the posters in the classroom will help students understand that their ancestors had developed traditions and teachings equal to those of all other people.
Teachers should review and adapt their previously developed lessons to include teaching these moral values to students in order to improve students’ sense of identity and also to improve student behavior.
