August 12, 2021 – Chief Cornell McLean and Councillors Kevin Swan, Byron Swan, Berry McLean, and Dwight Paul from Lake Manitoba First Nation met with Charles Cochrane, Executive Director of MFNERC, to take part in a signing ceremony today. Chief Cornell McLean and Charles Cochrane signed a five-year partnership agreement between Lake Manitoba First Nation and MFNSS.
Also in attendance at the signing ceremony were Lisa Paul, Freda Missyabit, Crystal Missyabit, and Darcy Williams. This partnership signifies that MFNSS and Lake Manitoba First Nation will continue to work together in providing the highest quality of education for First Nations by First Nations. We celebrate this renewed agreement and look forward to providing leading education, administration, technology, and language and culture services to Lake Manitoba First Nation.
