The March 2020 MFNERC newsletter, “Sharing our Stories,” has been mailed out to schools. This issue shines the spotlight on land-based education. Most First Nations schools offer some form of land-based education, but, so far, a standard approach to help guide teachers is unavailable. MFNERC is in the final stages of developing a “document guide” to facilitate the teaching of land-based education and to clarify key issues and concepts. The document will be unveiled and distributed to schools in 2020.
